I feel frustrated by this seemingly simple problem. Issue concerns a bathroom sink that has a small leak in the PVC pipes where the low end of the J Bend meets the pipe going to the wall. Is there anything I can do to ensure it doesn't leak, like maybe glue or seal where the two PVC pipes meet? This issue has happened in the past, and if the two pipes don't meet exactly flush, it will leak at this joint. The pipes have even been replaced, and the sink is running fine (wall was even checked for blockage and there wasn't any).
Any advice would be appreciated.

I am by no means an expert in this field but I had the same problem installing a new faucet in a friends bathroom. I take it you are talking about the "trap". Come to find out, the traps now are like 1 1/2 in one end and 1 1/4 on the other end. (Something like that) We ended up buying a 30 cent reducer that fits right in and stops the leak. Check to see that when tightened, your cnnections are tight. If not,this may be the problem.
