Can I utilize PVC from the meter to my house (main water line)? Or do I have to use copper?. Some people I ask say copper but there is no reason given for why PVC can't be used.

THanks,

Brett

Copper lasts and is legal in most codes.

Copper withstands freezing and has a much higher pressure rating.

Copper will not be leach dangerous chemicals into the domestic water supply.

Copper has a proven tract record

Copper takes hydraulic shock.

Copper will not crush as readily as plastic.
