Water heater is in the garage. All my faucets reveive hot water except one, it receives warm water. I checked hot water supply to this faucet and water is warm not hot.

The house is plumbed to use an installed reycling pump to keep hot water available to any faucet instantly...we shut this off 11 years ago.

Please tell me how to find the reason for this weird situation. Thk you.

Sounds like the hot water to this one faucet may be connected to the return circulation line and not the feed.

Very common mistake

Thank you Sylvan. The water in the recirculation pipe returning to the water heater(the valve to the heater is shut off) is warm not hot. I will call a plumber to confirm your suggestion and ask for a quote.

I am a first time user of Bob Villa's web site and appreciate you taking the time to answer my plea for help.

Is it possible someone made a connection to the hot water recirculation line rather then the actual supply?

Very common mistake
