i am having a problem getting the existing shower carttridge out of its home. i have pulled the pin out and tried using the plastic tool included with the new cartridge. when i pull on the cartridge with plyers it comes out about 1/3 of an inch but seems to be locked in beyond that. the instructions state that it should be simple but i cannot get this existing cartridge out. any suggestions please? thank you

I love when a manufacturer says it pulls right out and then you end up destroying the shower body and have to replace it.
Some of the "simple" repairs are the ones that turn into a nightmare.
I had to replace a few Moen shower body's that folks destroyed.
Call Moen customer service and speak to a live tech on a portable phone and let her guide you through it OR call your local licensed plumbing contractor
