I am adding an addition to my home that will have a new bathroom. I will be running the vent up into the attic and then out through a side wall rather than through the roof. Is there a maximum horizontal length limit? I am using 3" pvc pipe, approximately 10' vertical run, then 30' horizontal. Thanks for your response.

1- When I size a vent I take the developed length of piping and fittings into account

2- I also add up the total fixture unites connected to the vent.

3- I never install a vent through a wall (unless you call a fresh air in let a vent)

Then I read the local code in the area I am working as some do not take the developed length into consideration and other codes out law plastic
