I made some toilet repairs and when I turned the water back on, the pipes rattle badly. Any ideas? They never rattled before this.

Certain fill valves (ball cocks) have a washer that can causing hydraulic shock Or when you closed and opened the shut off valve a washer may have become loose.

Either way if you slightly close the valve to the WC this should stop the rattling.

If tghis doesnt work shut the valve check the fill valve and possibly the isolation valve to the toilet
