I have the new problem with noisy pipes in my two story colonial. When the water is running it sound like I have a chain saw in my walls. The sound is pretty lond and can be heard in every room.

I have had a water hammer problem in the past and this sound nothing like that.

I had a new water meter installed last year. The water meter is outside the home.

This is a new problem. The problem seems to impact both cold and warm water.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Sylvan

Check all your faucets (loose washers) check your washing machine, dishwasher, toilet fill valves anything with a quick closing valve like an out side sprinkler system.

Isolate each fixture and I am sure you can locate the source

Solenoid valves are known for causing this kind of condition.

Good hunting
