I have an older home . There is this plastic like tile on my walls behind the tub. It is not like the regular tile you see today. I want to remove the tiles and I am wondering if there is anything other than tiles that I could put on the walls.

I know that there are lines you can put over the tub and wall but I dont want to go that route. I am wondering if there is any type of line I could slip behind the tub and glue it to the wall. Sorry I am an amateur at this. I hope you understand what I am talking about.
