I recently bought a home built in 1957. The bathroom fittings are matched sink, tub and toilet. One of the toilets, Am/Standard-F4033 "Dresden Blue", was replaced in the 1990s with a plain jane white. The other toilet has a craked tank and damaged bowl. It is a F4033 "Candlelyght". Since the tub and sink in both bathrooms are of a certain design, I would like to find a F4033 in both colors. If that is not possible, I would like to find toilets that match the original colors, if not the actual model and style.
Thanks,

I recently contacted American Stancard and was told by a lady who seemed very compotent that the colors that I need from 1957 are "Persain Brown" and either "Claire D'Lune" or "Dresden Blue". It seems that Am Std changed their blue during that year. The fittings are all stamped from March of that year so I'm guessing that the old "Claire D'Lune" is what I have. I would like to see a photo of the toilet that you have available. I would also like to know what numbers are stamped into the bottom of the tank lid. The originals in the house were F4033 as I said above. If you can not post here, you can send a reply to deepsea144@yahoo.com.
Thanks.
Thanks.
