I have a pump on my laundry tub as my washing machine drains into it. The pump is not keeping up with the water and the sink is overflowing causing water to spill all over the floor . The pump turns on automatically when the water reaches a certain level. I've tried two different kinds of drano but neither has worked. Any suggestions?

Easy fix, look at the TDH of the pump and the GPM rating. Then adjust the height accordingly
Or make a larger sump and set the sump pump to come on faster and stay on longer.
Make sure your using full diameter of the pump discharge and not bushing it down so your severally restricting the flow.
Or get a pump with a larger rated GPM and total discharge head rating
