I have a replacement divertor steam assembly, but see no visable set screw or other means to remove the center handle in order to remove the cover. How is it removed? Would appreciate any advice. Thanks

If it is a "Crystal" handle the center with the arrow and H & C pops out. And under it is phillips head screw that holds the knob on.

To replace the diverter you will need a deep well socket.

You can get some in the plumbing section made out of stamped steel. Don't remember what size you need.

Thanks a bunch billhart. This valve is on a townhouse that I purchased for my grandaughter who is disabled and I have assumes the responsibility of keeping her from having to go to a homeless shelter or having to live in grossly unsuitable quarters. I have to hold expenses down as much as possible and love DIY projects. Since she stays some 15 miles away I hadn't eyeballed the valve and was going by her discription. But when I go, I wanted to be as prepared as possible. You have elimated any excuse I had to put it off any longer. Thanks again. I'll give you a report latter on in the week. Thanks again, Jack Nixon
