The boro I live in has just required all homeowners to install an expansion tank on the hot water heater. I just purchased a tank but the installation instructions are a bit hazy. The tank has a 1/2" threaded fitting on the end. Do I just install a 1/2" threaded "T" on the cold water side and screw the tank on? Any detailed instructions on this application would be appreciated.
