Bvplumbing
I have a Symmons shutoff for my washimg machine. It is a lever type.

We found out by accident that the water flows even if the lever is in the off postion. I estimate the item is 16 years old.

I plan on having a plumber replace soon . However is there a simple repair that i could look at in the short run.

Thanks

Try contacting Symmons as they are a decent company and may send you the repair parts free like some other companies do.

Either give them a model number if available or send them a picture

The Symmons company sent me a new washing machine shutoff valve for free. My old was nearly 16 years old. It was simple to install plus they helped out with a small issue via email.

They stood behind their product.

This is a rare thing these days

Considering I saved you a small fortune why not donate something to ST Jude's hospital or some other worth wile charity that helps children stricken with cancer or other dreaded dieases
