I am redoing a bathroom on a slab foundation. It currently has a toilet and lavatory. I want to add a shower. I am trying to fond the cast iron drain pipe under the slab. Does anyone have a trick?
I have a cast iron pipe coming down from upstairs that is visible through teh wall. I am currently trying to chip away the flooor around the base of the pipe to see where it goesl but I would rather do as little exploratory diggin as possible.

4- Wet the slab with a damp mop then run hot water from a fixture and the area that dries first is over the drain line
5- Run a snake or water Jetter and listen for the sound under the slab
A stethoscope works wonders for this
