closet flange extension

Plumbing
Hello,
I will be laying tile in the bathroom and need to learn how to raise the closet flange up 1/4 to 1/2 inch to reinstall the toilet. I hope that you can just install an extender?? Any good ideas or instructions?
Thanks,
Mark
