Are there sink drain bodies without the holes that allow water to drain from the overflow chamber? I bought a bathroom vanity that has a very thin sink without an overflow chamber, so when I inserted the drain and started tightening the nut from below I noticed the holes in the drain were showing. I've never run across this problem before (only my third sink ever) so I was very puzzled and tired so I quit work for the night. I just found a drawing that showed the overflow chamber that I don't have and it all makes sense now. Do the drains without holes have special names?

Your very welcome, try an old plumbing supply they maybe happy do unload the old stock.

I had to make repairs to two basins installed prior to 1917 in Manhattan and I happened to walk into an old hardware store and they had the exact replacement part I needed the old gentleman was kind enough to put this heavy brass drain outlet on a scale and charged me the going rate of scrap metal.

For $3.12 I could not go wrong huh
