i just moved into an older home and came to find out that the cold water in my kitchen is leaking. the only way to not have a flood in the kitchen is to have the cold water valve turned off. is there anything that can be done? and what do i need to fix the problem myself or should i call a plumber?

You just moved in GREAT then contact the lawyer who did the closing and ask how much MONEY was left in the escrow account to repair the problems not disclosed to you during closing.

Then hire a licensed master plumber to go through the home and give you in writing other things you were not made aware of.

Home inspectors often over look major defects so it is best to hire an LMP and a master electrician and a roofing contractor who also knows about water proofing.

Good luck
