What is the best procedure to reroute a copper water pipe? It has a bend of about 90 degrees and is about 15 years old. There are no sharp bends but rather a gentle bend to the 90 degree angle.

I want to more or less straighten it out (doesn't have to be exact)? Can I do it? Do I need to heat it? Should it be dry inside?

Personally after 15 years of service I would shut the supply drain the line cur out the bend use two couplngs and use a straight piece of tubing and solder the 4 joints.

If you have to make any type of offset you can use 45 deg fittins etc

thank you for the comments. i have never solder copper tubing. If I want to try just straightening first, what would you suggest? Dry line? Heat it? Just bend it by hand?

Thanks much.
