Help! I have a two year old home and have had to replace my A.O. Smith hot water tank 2 twice in 2 years. Just a few months ago a plummer replaced the gas valve and burner essembley on my 1 year old A.O. Smith tank. Just about two weeks after this was done I starting have major issue with burning of my skin.... Since I am on a well I have had all my systems check and both my (2 year old)softner and standtizer repalced and added an chemical injector feeder system. My water has been tested by four separted labs and all is in perfect order. It has been over 3 month of discomfort.. I recently had a scalp bispoy to just see if maybe I had developed a skin issue - all is fine there. I am out of clues and A.O Smith customer service was nasty and refused to help try and trouble shoot the issue. I have looked over all my service contracts and on of them recommend that we have the pressure for our propane increased from 10 inches to 12 inches? Even through the propane company check out the pressue is gave an okay.. Could the low pressure be causing some type of issue that would cause dryness and pain to the scalp and skin?

The well was shocked twice and the hot water tank once, so baterial is not an issue? I need help!

Don't feel bad AO Smith pulled the same nonsense on me when they had a brand new 75 gallon tank right out of the box LEAKER and they had major problems with dip tubes (Thanks to Bradford White) I found the cause of the AO Smith negligence.

They have a bad habit of getting nasty when confronted on their lack of quality control or you ask any questions re: their heaters I found to be the case NASTY is the correct term IMHO
