I am installing a 1 piece fiberglass shower unit. when unit is placed on the floor as I am going to install it the actual shower floor is about 3 inches higher than the concrete basement floor. Do I need to build a base underneath the shower unit in order to "fill" or support the 3 inches between the shower floor and the basement floor? or are the showers designed to have all the load from standing in the unit around the edges?
