I hear a drip in my toilet. I do not see any evidence of a leak around or under the toilet. I went to the unfinished basement and do not see anything on the floor under the toilet. Is it possible it is happening inside the tank and nothing to worry about?

If you have a water meter in time it will cost you I would spend 11.00 bucks and go buy a fluid matser ballcock and install it. Your ballcock is leaking into the hushtube inside your toilet tank called the flush valve

Actually it is called a Douglas valve and the TUBE is called the over flow tube and the water line leading to the over flow tube attached to the Douglas is refill tube to replenish the seal in the bowl.

Normally one only has to replace the tank flapper/ tank bulb/ Tank disc depending what brand and model you have
