I'd like to get step by step instructions on installing a claw footed bathtub in a basement. The basement has already been poured. Would i need to cut the concrete to run plumbing lines. The bath area is set up for the sink and stool already. All other sewage and other water lines are very close. Trying to help husband. Sorry if I'm not phrasing question correctly.

Is the area pre-plumbed?

You alluded to there being some feeds and drains but is the area ready for a shower or bath?

If not then yes you will probably need to cut the concrete as tubs drain down. You will also need to find where your sewer line is and if it is above the floor of the basement.

Do you need to do demo first?

Is this a new tub or refurbished one?

Are you replacing a standard tub?
