There is an odor coming from our bathroom sink (synthetic marble top).

It does not smell in the cabinet under the sink.

My husband used a drain cleaner, did not work. A few days later he poured bleach and water down the overflow, odor returned within 24 hours.

Ran the water for a couple of seconds, made the odor increase.

What is the problem.

Try hydrogen peroxide as it may kill the bacteria causing the odor

Sink is l7" x 12" x 6" deep. How much peroxide should I pour down the overflow?
