Bvplumbing
I am currently trying to remodel my bathroom. But ran in to a situation, so my question is. Do you have to use a diverter when in put in the tub and shower or can you just use a tee? Mu husband says it will cause to much pressure to build up.

Please advise

Thanks for reading

Without a dirverter of some kind all of the water will only come out of the tub spount.

Some faucets that diverters built in.

Some use a seperate valve. And some of those have multiple ports so that you can selectr different combination of shower heads.

But the basic installations the shower vavle has 2 ports (or one and a T). They the spout has a shut off vavle in it that stops the flow of water to the tub and forces it up the shower.

Your husband should listen to you and leave the plumbing to someone better suited to do it
