leaking toilet

I have a toilet that has somehow managed to start leaking. After 2 or 3 days of not wiping the commode down, I get this urine-colored scum on the horizontal surface of the base. Looks like urine. Smells like urine. What can I do? Is there a fix-it or do I need to start shopping for another toilet?

I'm sort of dubious about your answer. I don't see urine splattered about. Only in two small puddles on the base. But you never know.
