Can these be repaired? If, so how do you take it apart? Or do you just have to replace valve as a unit? THX

do you mean cartridge? you probably need to just replace it.(the cartridge not the whole faucet)
if you want to take it apart it looks like it has one of those c clips on top from what i can see.

Yes, I have removed the clip and the part right under the clip. By the book the only thing left is the valve itself. It leeks where it turns. Don't know if the term is correct but by the parts diagram...does the valve come apart or does it have to be replace as a unit. The valve part number is 77006. thx
i'm pretty sure you're talking about the cartridge.
if it were me i would turn around and replace the whole cartridge both of them on both sides hot and cold.
don't be penny wise and dollar foolish.
and buy an extra set of cartridges so you have them.
that's about all i can say without knowing the model number of the faucet so i can look it up.

kohler calls it a valve.it doesn't look like it is repairable.
i still say replace both of them while you're at it.
that's what i would do.
p.s. it says if you're the original owner they give lifetime replacment parts but from what i can see the cartridge(excuse me i mean valve)under $10 if you get good deal.
