Woke up to scalding hot water this morning. This is a 52 gal. State elec heater, with upper and lower 4500 elements. The tank near the upper element is hot, and I'm thinking the upper thermostat is bad. Would this make sense, or is there something else to try/test first? Thermostat is an Apcom WH 10A.
