I just moved into a new home that is several years old. I can't figure out how to get the water to come out of the shower head.

The water control is a one handle job that goes from right to left (on/off and cold/hot.

There is no handle or control to close the drain to take a bath, either.

My mother tells me the shower diverter is missing. Is this correct and how to I add one.

Desparately in need of a shower!!
