The ceramic tile in my laundry room was recently jackhammered through - a layer of I assume asbestos tile, concrete then dirt - to connect a pipe to outside drain. (Insurance didn't cover since preventive, but agreed necessary.) Since I can see a layer of old tile that the ceramic went over before I bought the house, do I need to worry about asbestos dust from the excavation? The ceramic is no longer manufactured so I'm trying to figure out how to replace the 3' by 10' 'hole' they put concrete into, but didn't re-tile. Meanwhile am I breathing in dust when I do laundry?? Thanks for your help!
