I need to replace a header beam (again) We did it about 3 years ago but the sag is back. Last time we placed 2 laminated beams in the place or the wood beam. This time I want steel. This is a tripple patio door. about 12ft.wide 2 side panels are stationary. Only the center one moves. Below the room is a crawl space. My thought is to come up from the crawspace with steel supports and weld them to the new steel beam. I am thinking that in the crawlspace they should be anchored to the foundatuion. yes ??? no?? What would you propose? Any coments and information is welcome. I don't want to have to do this again. EVER....... THANKS
