The walls in our manufactured home appear to be drywall covered with vinyl wallpaper.

does anyone know how to paint over vinyl wallpaper?

I bought my paint at Home Depot. Once I told them that what I was doing, they informed me that there is a special primer for the vinyl drywall. I used it and was mostly successful using it. The only tip I would give you is to let the primer dry really well before you paint. I was in a hurry when I painted my walls so the couple of areas bubbled where I did not wait long enough for it to completely. Also, if you need to apply more than one coat of paint, be sure the first coat has completely dried before applying the second coat.

I hope this info helps!
