Master Bath Remodel
I live in a 94 doublewide I toltaly gutted the bath and did away with the garden tub (looked good but not pratical). I had one sink, very small shower (32 x 32) and carpet in bath (what is up with that anyway???) Now I have double sinks tile (real tile) flooring no tub but a killer walkin shower (5 foot by 5 foot) had to make the shower floor but worth it. I CAD everything (makes it easier and everything fit). VERY proud of it. Anyone want pics of finished bath for ideas you may email me at jowaters@alltel.net and request. Also did kitchen and living room.
also doing a remodel in mobile home... '91 double wide.
would love to see more.
contemplating getting rid of the garden tub in the master bath. you don't miss having a tub?? what do you think this will do for the resell value of your home??

My cost (because I did everything) was just at $3,000.00. Resale value is between $10,000 and $15,000. I have more pictures in the my projects section here. Alot of work but worth it, and no we do not miss the tub at all, with the LARGE shower we have now is much better! Thanks again for your comments, and I did the kitchen too, it is posted in the My Projects section too. Joe
Sorry that did not sound right. The resale value gained $10,000 to $15,000 with the work we did in the bath room. I refinanced the mobile home and appraised HIGHER yes higher than what I payed for it in 94. I couldn't believe it. This is after I did the kitchen, but before the master bath and Laminate Flooring. Also took out the cheap fireplace mantel and built one that is kick butt. Plus I put a half wall up between the dinning room and living room and made a breakfast bar out of it. Yes it does keep me out of bars, and wife is happy. (smile)
Me I Pulled it out and stood it up to fit thru the door, It just did fit. You can cut it too, if you have too.
If anyone want more pictures of the Kitchen and Bathroom remodel email me at: jowaters@windstream.net, and I will be more than happy to send them to you or answer some of your questions of the things I did on my remodel. Thanks again for the kind word! Joe
My GF and I are in the process of repairing / remodeling a 1996 double-wide mobile home thru out. Would like to see the pics...as we're also taking out the 'garden' tub in lieu of a big walk-in corner shower (5x5). We're wanting to use the existing plumbing (ie water & drain)...putting in a 'built-in' drain pan, tile the walls, and finally a glass enclosure.
I've never done 'tile' before...I can / WILL learn.
