We are in need of a Tappan 400 to replace my Mom's old one. Mom is in her 70's and loves the oven. Over the past 45 years it has been great but it has seen lots and lots of use (Mom is the best cook!!) and it is wearing out. I'll go anywhere and pay any reasonable amount to be able to get a replacement for her. (She lives in NH and I am in Mass.) She just wouldn't do well with a kitchen makeover... We'd also consider any that may be available for parts. Thanks!!

I have a Tappan Fabulous 400 'Gas' stove with a double oven, with a rotisserie, and 4 burners on a pull out shelf with a cutting board. It's very clean; The first burner to the right does not work nor the rotisserie but have all the parts,including racks and broiling pan. I live in Up-State NY. I understand your Mom wanting to keep her stove, and how very nice of you to help.

I have an electric one exactly as you describe. It still works fine though the screws are a little loose (in the stove, not the owner).

my tappan range is still for sale. im asking $400.00 as is.the tappan range i have is the one with a rotissorie on top. the range was only used a couple of years and a new one was bought. its been in the basement for 40 years.it should work fine,but since its been in my basement for so long who knows if time has had any effect on the wiring.so im sure you can understand that im not responsible for any electrical problems.thanks for your inquiry.

I was lucky enough to locate one from Ohio back in Oct 05, so I no longer need one. They are terrific ranges, tho. I wish they still made them. So convenient. My mom was so happy we could get an exact replacement (me, too!). Sadly she passed away in 07. I'm glad she didn't have to go through a whole kitchen redo and was able to use the replacement stove. Good luck finding yours a good home.
