I have a brick house. The Soffit panels are solid and meet the house but their is no moulding along the house. I have noticed some areas have small gaps where the soffit meets the house. This is promoting a hiding place for bees. What can I do to remedy this. Do I need to get some wood moulding and put it up and seal it with caulk at the soffit panels? And if so, what exactly do I need and how do I go about it.
I also noticed along the sides of the house where their is the old fiberglass panel siding there are gaps underneath the bottom where I can see up into the woodwork for the framing to the house. Would I use more wood to seal this or some of that trimmable foam stuff.

It would not be practical to place molding at the brick/soffit joint because you will still be left with gaps where the mortar joints are.
A simple solution is to caulk the brick/soffit joint so that no insects can get in there.
The gap behind and under the fiberglass panel siding may be there with a purpose: to provide a "weep" area so that trapped water can escape down and out from your structure.
You should not block this area or if you do, use something like plastic brillo pads that will allow liquid water to flow down and out yet keep critters out too.
