My new 1926 Spanish style building in
Hollywood has faux (that's French for fake)
fireplaces, in which a previous owner has
installed really ugly vented gas heaters.
One tenant even ripped his out and threw it
away, they're that ugly.

So far, I've found freestanding vented
heating stoves from Vermont Castings that
look appropriate for the building, and work
with a thermostat, but with the necessary
add-ons, they cost over $2000 each. For
four units, that's more than one of my
foundation quotes.

Does anyone know of good looking, durable
ones in the $500 - $1000 range?

Thanks --
