Does anyone have a quick rule of thumb equation for the number of btu's per sq. ft. needed to heat a home? Thanks for any help.

Answer: Aprox. ONLY
Length x Width X 45BUT's per sq. ft.

Ex: 1600sq' x 45 = 72,000 BTU/hr

Proper heat loss calculations is always the way to determine heat requires..
