Two story timberframe about 3000sf -- 2000sf on ground level, 1000sf on second floor (later to be a separate apartment).
First floor: Installing radiant heat in concrete -- probably going to use a Buderus boiler. Interested in evaluating gas versus electric A/C unit.
Second Floor: Need a combination heating and A/C for a person with lots of allergies.
Any suggestions for sites for research or systems recommendations?

Your q: is not easily answered. Well known brand name HVAC equipment is more expensive, but is good equipment. Most offer 5 to 10 year parts warranty.
Gas vs Electric,.....? Electric is usually more expensive, but if you want the AC you have no choice. Your local heating contractor can tell you more about what you want..
