I have installed a forced air LP furnace and central air unit in my summer home in Wisconsin. The heat ducts are 8"x14". The experts recommend that the return ducts (not installed yet) should be 30% larger than the heat ducts. Please explain. Thanks,
This is correct. Larger return accomendate for accessories such as A/C coils, pleated filters etc...The 8x14 duct you have installed can only handle 600 cfm @ .10 static. Basically alittle over a ton of cooling,...Not much.
