Can anyone suggest where to purchase radiator vents? (steam heat - one pipe system) Any online sites would also be welcomed.

Thanks. I also have another problem, maybe you can be of some assistance:

One of our radiators hisses a lot at night. It also seems to be hissing more now that I got the main vent changed in the basement and the radiator vent changed on that particular radiator. Since the radiator is in a colder room (1st floor though) they put a higher number vent (a #6) on. Is it possible that if I changed the vent to a slower one the hissing would stop? Also, would you suggest to use an adjustable vent or the numbered kind?

It is set slightly above 1.5. The pressure gage hardly reads anything.

The best radiator vents are Gorton vents. Their phone number is (908) 276-1323. Ken is terrific and can tell you where your local distributor is. The vent sizes are 4, 5, 6, C, and D. The 4 and 5 size goes in the rooms close to the boiler and the C and D size goes in rooms furthest (upstairs) from the boiler. The C and D have the largest opening and 4 and 5 the smallest. We have Gortons and they are much better than Hoffman vents.
