I have checked for 24VAC at the gas valve, but dont have it. So I figured it was the thermocoupler or the control unit. Does anyone know how to check the sensor/thermocoupler for correct operation.

The unit sparks for awhile before going off on safety. So I guess its the senosr or control. But dont want to buy both if not needed

If I knew what the letters were I might be able to troubleshoot. (PV,MV,MVPV)??

I would like to just turn on the gas valve to get the house up tp temp for the night.

Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance.

Thanks HKestenholz for the reply; I wasnt sure what the sensor was called, near the pilot.

I do have spark, and pilot. I did check for 24v at the PV, and mvpv. but never any 24v at the MV, and MVPV. Is there any way to check to see if the sensor is good before going and buying a control board?

P.S. the wires go to the limit switch on the heat exchanger as well as the MV. could that be causing anything?

I apreciate the help.
