I have a Rheem Classic XI heat pump and I have two questions; 1- At what outside temp. should I turn off the heat pump and just use resistince heat and 2- Where would be the best place to find a "delay on break timer" control for this unit? It is made by Watsco Inc. Thank you for any help you can provide!!

Thanks for the reply. I had always heard that if the outside temp. was below around 10 degrees, the heat pump wasn't very efficient, but I wasn't sure. Also, there are times we use our wood stove to suppliment the heat pump. We thought we were helping the heat source. I replaced the factory delay on break timer with a Robertshaw model and it seems to be working OK. Thanks again
