Need some suggestions for nailing LVL lumber. Constructing a building and using three LVL beams, each measuring 1and3/4" x 10", to span 20 feet. These have to be nailed on each side every 16 inches. The LVLs are sandwiched together. A nail gun cannot drive a nail flush with the surface so must resort to hammering which is time consuming and painful (not to mention the number of bent nails thrown out). Any ideas welcome.

Max, Hitachi, Bostich, and Paslode all have framers capabl;e of nailing heay timer.

but most engineering specs I have seen for tripling up also include a bolt scedule. 1'2" or 5/8" boltson such and such a scedule/pattern.

So drill and fill

Excellence is its own reward!
