I have a wood pellet stove as the only source of heat. I have a 28oo sq ft house, L shaped. I have had this source for over 5 years. odroless, doesnt have to be vented to an outside source for fresh air, and can be vented with pvc plastic, vertical, horizontal,.produces very little ash, and is 85 percent effecient. automatic light, themostatically controlled. cost is aprox .12cents per hour or will run aprox 28 hrs. on a 40 lb of pellets. if you need more info, look at website, harman pellet stove model 161 and 161a. You might even consider taking out your lp fireplace insert, and install a pellett fireplace insert. just remember, this is a fully electonic unit, and if you go out of electricity, you are out of heat. I have a backup generating system for emergencies. wouldnt have any othe type heating unit, unless it would be a central pellet furnace, which is now produced.
