I am ready to finish my basement workshop.

I have decided against drywall on the ceiling in order to have access to pipes, etc.

I have 4 x 8 panels of some type of painted masonite which I will screw to the joists.

I have installed 3 1/2 inch fiberglass batts.

Now, do I use felt or weatherstripping foam on the bottoms of the joist before I put the masonite up for maximum sound insulation?
