My air conditioner is blowing air, but not cold air. Anyone got advise on how I can fix this myself? Thanks in advance.

Is this a window unit or whole house? Make model and age? Did it gradually get warmer or all at once? Has it ever been tuned? Can you tell if the condenser and equipment outside is going on in conjuction with the blower?

Absolutely don't play with something you are unsure about. But it could be as simple as one of his kids changing the thermostat from cool to fan.

Try this thermostat check.

If we knew what model and age AC they had we can look up the warranty online and see if they should call the manufacturer or a local repair person. Many service people will also put a sticker on your unit to let them and you know when the last time it was serviced. If its been a few years. You probably should have had them out for preventive maintenance.
