Hi,

A gas company inspector told me that I have to have my chimney cleaned in addition to having a clean out installed. Also, I believe the chimney cap needs to be replaced as well, since my husband noticed some problems when he did his semi-annual roof inspection.

The real sting in this is that we had the flue relined and the cap replaced when we moved in 2 1/2 years ago!

Can anyone recommend a Philadelphia-area chimney repair contractor?

Thanks!

Kelly

The heater is over 2 years old--probably close to 10 years by now, since it was installed by the home's previous owner. It's the liner and cap that are only 2 years old.

We plan on having the heater serviced anyway because of a problem with the pilot light. So, for now, it's not in use.

Thanks for the reply!
