We are building a new home--square footage is 1720 sq foot raised ranch-=we hope to eventually finish the basement--we are being told that a 2 1/2 ton unit will be sufficient to heat and cool house plus finished basement--a friend who has built a few houses for himself in the past is recommending a 3 ton unit--any help you can give me would be appreciated------nursecarol
