Forced air heating, gas, burners come on then shut off when the blower doesn't come on. Also the Auto/on switch for the blower won't turn the blower on, I hear some switch activation at the FAU but nothing happens.

I just had the same problem on a furnace. I concluded the blower motor was bad. When the repairman came, he did the same checks as you and I ded and replaced the motor. all is now fine with the furnace. the motor was $100 plus tax and the service call $50. very reasonable repair in my opinion.

the low speed on your blower may be bad. In the fan on position the blower uses high speed. The blower in heating is usually turned on now adays by the circuit board on a timed function. Aside from checking the wiring connections ther is not much you can ddo to trouble shoot this. You need comercial help.
