When heating or cooling the house with a forced air system, is it better to have the fan on the thermostat set to on or auto? Some people have told me that having the air constantly circulating balances the temp in the house better and reduces the number of times the system has to turn on thus saving money. However, I worry that this will cause the fan to break down sooner because its running 24/7. advice?
