the estimate I got today was for a Goodman 90k btu, 2 stage with vs blower and 93% efficient. I was quoted $100 less for this as I was for a Carrier 60k btu @93% and a 2 stage with regular blower. $2700 versus $2800. If I wanted the vs blower on the Carrier it would cost another $700. Scott

A Goodman furnace is as good as anything else out there. We have less trouble with them than Carrier. The variable speed blower is nice , but not worth it. The vs blower is extreme high tech a/c-d/c voltage nightmare. Once the furnace is out of warranty, be ready to drop $400.00 on that motor if it goes out. I would buy Goodman, but re-think the vs motor.
